Shoes by Oliver Spencer for Topman
Popular fashion retailer Top Man have teamed up with designer Oliver Spencer, releasing a collection of shoes at a lower price point. While the “collection” only consists of two colorways, the collaboration however points to the growing trend of retail chains and popular designer mash ups. The idea proves to be a fine fit as retailers like Topshop, H&M, or Uniqlo are able to offer popular name designers at affordable prices.
Topman – Indigo Farm
British retail giants Topman have unveiled a sneak preview of their upcoming collection, entitled ‘Indigo Farm’. Paying homage to the classic fashion staple that is denim, ‘Indigo Farm’ draws influence from classic Scandinavian looks with subtle blue, grey, and purple colours appearing on the majority of the pieces. Apparel such as shawl-collar cardigans, blazers, and chambray shirts add to the sophisticated nature of Topman’s newest line, available in retailers on the 4th of March, and online on the 4th of February.

Topman Ltd. Autumn/Winter 2009 Lookbook
One thing to give to Topman: the brand is consistent. Consistent in its evolution. While the new Topman Ltd. Collection’s AW ‘09 Lookbook “(emphasizes) design, detail, fabric, and finish”, the line is much like other Topman offerings, in that it has classic pieces in modern fits, as well as pieces that would be considered perhaps a bit too interesting to wear to the office. In the classic pieces category: a beautiful navy shawl collar sweater-blazer, a gray formal wool overcoat, and classic men’s trousers. In the former category: a black pin-dot dress shirt, puffy blue bow tie, and plum (with cream striping) blazer. In its way, Topman delivers splendidly on its consistency, for depending on one’s lifestyle (and workplace) the collection offers something for you. Thus, something for everyone. TOPMAN – “Wilderness” Autum/Winter 2009 Lookbook
TOPMAN is back with another lookbook, from the “Wilderness” and the work is once again intricately styled and beautifully photographed, showcasing the Autumn and Winter 2009 men’s casual wear. The photos are through a warm yellow filter that gives them an almost vintage sheen. Rough, masculine sweaters and handsome shirts and pants do not disappoint. Standouts include a black duffel coat, a blue dress shirt with a light orange collar, and a thick gray cardigan that has a hood. If you were skeptical if TOPMAN would deliver when they reached the states, your fears can be assuaged.
Topman Fall/Winter 2009 Lookbook
TOPMAN’s lookbook for Fall/Winter 2009 is rooted in tradition but also a collection with teeth for anyone’s late 2009 wardrobe. Stylish jackets and sweaters abounds with classic pants, always rolled up to show colorful socks and wingtips. One wonders if the boutonniere will be sold at TOPMAN as well this Fall. TOPMAN has the “boarding school rebel” look on lock this year. Very good looks available for Fall/Winter 2009.

Antony Price for Topman
Antony Price was an essential figure in shaping British rock n’ roll fashion during the late 70’s to 80’s. He defined the looks for artists such as David Bowie, Duran Duran, and Steve Strange. For this year, he is once again doing a collection with Topman that is reflective of what he does best. Finely sharp tailored suits with a rock n’ roll edge is part of the line up. Topman Spring/Summer 2009 Looks
Topman has already released some runway photos and videos of their upcoming Spring/Summer collection. To complete the whole campaign, Topman also released a very stylish and moody lookbook to highlight more of their pieces.
