Oversized coats and geometrical pattern sweaters are few of the pieces that standout. Band of Outsiders – Spring/Summer 2010 Lookbook

Band of Outsiders once again presents their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection in the form of Polaroid images depicting the Marina Del Rey, California as the backdrop. The new lookbook stars Dave Franco and Donald Glover and also features actress Leslie Mann. If you’re unfamiliar with the actors, Donald Glover starred in the acclaimed comedy, Mystery Team; Dave Franco, who is James Franco’s younger brother, starred in shows such as Scrubs and will be in the upcoming movie, Greenberg; Leslie Mann, on the other hand, you might have seen already in movies such as Knocked Up, Funny People, or Drillbit Taylor. As for the collection, expect the same effortless looks from Band of Outsiders. Light suits, double breasted blazers, short sleeve button ups, leather jackets, light knits, and more.

Stockholm based Acne’s recent showing during Fashion Week by Berns churns out their latest Fall/Winter 2010 collection. For fall, we see a lot of flight jackets mixed within a range of subtle pieces such as blazers, tops, and knits. The militarist influence is quite overt, but it all balances out with subtle flower print shirts, and the softer knits and shirts.

With denim being the signature staple of the Cheap Monday label, fans of the brand are always left to wonder what other pieces are appropriate with their popular denim selections. French label Kitsune gives us a preview of their Ivy League collection for the upcoming Autumn/Winter season. Fresh off of previewing their “Golf Club” range, we now get a good sense of Kitsune’s direction. The collegiate lifestyle is now the label’s aim with intelligent looks and styles reflecting the fashion in Universities across the globe. Cardigans, vests, suits, and more are included in the collection with colors such as yellows, reds, and blues as the standout. The aesthetic definitely works well for those looking for a label alternative to the likes of RRL or even J.Crew.

For Spring/Summer 2010, Zara goes neutral and diffuses any sense of color for their collection. The range offers comfort with linens and light knits. There are also a few outerwear selections and suits, but they still bear the same comfortable and carefree characteristics as the other pieces.

Best in Shows Editorial from Wallpaper* February Issue

Wallpaper’s current issue has an editorial featuring collections from some of the most notable designers at the moment. The likes of brands such as Raf Simons, Dior Homme, Paul Smith, Calvin Klein, Prada, and Gucci, get the nod from Wallpaper describing their aesthetics and appeal. The styling for the editorial is also cool, as we get a Wallpaper view of some of the pieces from the designers’ current ranges.

Suit – Spring/Summer 2010 Collection

The Scandanavian brand under the Metropol fashion enterprise is now in its 5th year of retail. Unlike its sister companies that are in the Metropol house, the Suit label features a men’s line that is contemporary and pulls distinct elements from Scandanavian fashion design. Their collection for the Spring and Summer seasons emphasize these points in their use of solid, vibrant colors such as teal, aqua and coral for many of their slacks. Some shirting uses plaid patterns, but the majority of the lot are solid colored button-ups with traditional and prairie collars. Rachel Comey – Keene Oxfords

It’s exciting to see the new styles Rachel Comey is coming out this coming Spring/Summer 2010. As far as oxfords go, the Keene model is a wise choice with its lace-up style and natural canvas look. The shoe also features tan leather trimmings, leather soles, and rubber grip heel. It may not be your traditional oxford look, but sure bodes well for completion of a nice summer outfit.
