Robert Geller – Fall 2010 Show

The Robert Geller brand always evokes a broody/gothic and romantic feel with each show. If you have the privilege to attend a show of this prestige, one could feel transported to an era that epitomized this style. That’s where Geller’s amazing talent lies. He’s able to communicate that story to an audience with poignant visuals. The lighting and music heightened the effect of this show. Models paced the runway donning bowler hats, fur shawls, strikingly bold stripe patterns, the color purple, and cloaks and capes to finish the looks off. Geller’s portrayal of such a man was executed perfectly.

German born Marc Jacobs affiliate and Cloak partner Robert Geller has put together a little capsule collection for Levi’s and it’s available to check out and purchase at Bloomingdales online. The collection is a little slice of classic Americana, with jeans and tees the order of the day. The full length denim parka is awesome, and the chambray button down is worth a double click too. Robert Geller Spring/Summer 2010 – Runway Video

To loud rock and roll drums, Robert Geller’s models walk down the runway looking like cold and calculated libertines spying for victims with expressionless faces. A scarf dangling from a breast pocket is a thematic element that adds dandy flair to the darkest looks of his Spring 2010 collection. There are plenty of outfits to get excited about here. The tan pants with gray jacket and fedora look is devastating. And the black and white jailhouse print slacks are standout too. Watch the video and get hype for Geller in 2010.

Robert Geller’s new capsule collection for Levi’s promises a return to classic workwear with pieces that reflect quintessential denim styles. The 11 piece collection is made up of items such as jackets, tops, tees, denim vests, chambray shirts, and light button downs. Winner of GQ’s Best Menswear Designer of America this year, Geller’s meticulous detail work comes through bravely in the collection capturing the vintage aesthetics Levi’s is known for. It’s also quite exciting to see that the range seem to circle around the one most important item in the collection – a vintage pair of 501’s from the sixties. The collection will release September 10th 2009 at selected Levi’s retailers.
