We take a look at Nike’s latest release of the Tennis Classic Vintage. Great for the summer, these sneakers come with two basic colourways – white with either red or blue accents. Along with the minimal colouring, they also come with a foam tongue and perforated swoosh, giving them a nice, clean look. Available now at Haven.

Nike Royal and Nike Air Elan Premium

Both the Nike Royal and the Nike Air Elan Premium showcases Nike’s ability to make premium sneakers. With Nike already known for putting out products in the high-end market, these shoes also become a testament to Nike’s design capabilities and over-all versatility. They are simple and classic with very minimal detailing, and we’re pretty sure a few eyes are moving towards the silver pair.

Nike Sportswear Spring/Summer 2009

nike-sportswear-2009-main

The line of Nike Sportswear integrates innovative engineering with high-style. The latest pieces to surface for their upcoming Spring and Summer collections feature Nike’s patented moisture-wick fabrics and 3L waterproof technology.

Having been involved in numerous collaborative efforts with major design houses, Nike has evolved in terms of athletic wear. Because of their iconic status, they’ll have so many willing resources at their disposal and always remain current.

The items featured here (see all images after the jump), courtesy of Hypebeast, are a beautiful progression from standard tees, sweatshirts, and hoodies. They offer something different and new (not necessarily better) than our American Apparel purveyors. My favorite images are the shorts with the contrast color pocket detail. I’ve read several comments condemning the high prices and I completely agree; but that appears to be pretty much in line with what other athletic companies such as Burton charge for their more high-end items. I praise their newfound maturity in design, so I’m not mad at Nike. I just can’t support them at this time by dropping $250 on a sweatshirt.

Air Jordan 2009

Jordan 23 will not be the last of the legendary line. However, Nike has finally retired the numbering scheme for a yearly naming routine which leads into the next shoe of the collection.  The “Air Jordan 2009″ shoe features “Articulated Propulsion Technology” which was inspired by the high performance carbon fiber prosthetic used by Paralympian runners. The shoe also follows Nike’s Considered Design philosophy which is a program to make the development and materials of Nike’s footwear more eco-friendly. A limited edition set will be released on January 31st and it will be available for the general masses nationwide on February 14th. Check out its official site for more images and info.
