Grenson x Tenue de Nîmes and Grenson Factory Visit Video

In November last year Tenue de Nîmes visited the Grenson factory in Rushden, Northamptonshire to salute the construction of the first Grenson x Tenue de Nîmes shoe. The company developed a black Tenue de Nîmes interpretation of the Grenson classic: the Fred. The shoe is a limited edition high top brogue with a triple layer -blue tone- leather sole. Tenue de Nîmes was amazed by all the stages of English craftsmanship to finally come together in this characteristic shoe. So they also decided to do a video about the factory and the nearly 200 pit stops that the collaborative shoe had to make before it got delivered in Amsterdam.

Also new for Spring are boue canvas with putty rubber and a chestnut canvas with a combination gum/chocolate rubber toe cap and sole. Ridgecrest Residence by Cottam Hargrave

From Cottam Hargrave: This family-centered 3800sf residence is located on five acres in the West Lake Hills area of Austin. The building site is located over 500’ into the property, enhancing both privacy and sight lines. Because of the steep slope and the desire to minimize level changes within the house, linearity dominates, dictating the structure to follow a limestone ledge on the property. This linear arrangement along the ledge forces the garage to be a part of the entry sequence, which indirectly becomes the icon of the house. On the adjacent facades, two very long and overlapping shed roofs further differentiate the form.

Chauncey – Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook

Brussels-based menswear label, Chauncey’s philosophy stems from the traditions and exceptional quality of European craftsmanship. It leans towards the modern by relying upon extreme creativity and precision by using high quality yarns and manufacturers. According to Chancey, the line is meant for the “elegant gentleman traveler” look with a slice of Belgian surrealism. For Fall/Winter 2010, look to the brand to live up to its philosophies with a range consisting of simplistic knits, scarves, tops, and trousers. There’s a quiet ambiance to the range which I’m sure some of the more humble fashionable types will appreciate.

Chicago Town House by Alexander Gorlin Architects

Amidst traditional townhouses in Chicago, this home by Alexander Gorlin Architects shines as a bright modern beacon. Behind a low garden wall, an exterior staircase leads to the home’s main level, where towering double-height living spaces and walls of glass create an airy, spacious atmosphere. The main level includes the kitchen, dining and living spaces, while the levels above and below house bedrooms and bathrooms.
The all-white palette from the exterior of the home is largely unchanged inside. Varying tones of slate and marble adorn floors, walls, and countertops, and are paired with sparse modern furnishings.
