Former Diesel, Woolrich, Valentino and Barbour designer Massimo Rossetti created Parajumpers as an outerwear company that construct jackets and parkas for the most demanding weather conditions. It is dedicated to the profession of “the men of the 210th Rescue Squadron, based in Anchorage, Alaska, are highly trained for extreme rescues and recoveries in the wildest, most remote and hostile corners of the Globe. Whether it be ships adrift at sea, rock climbers stuck atop a 4,000 meter peak, or submariners sunk at unimaginable depths, these men are called to intervene.”

The Kodiak slim fit, navy hooded, quilted parka jacket comes from the Masterpiece Series. The hood features a detachable fur trim, drawstring pulls, central zip so that it can be worn opened out. The collar has a parachute clip fastening with yellow grosgrain pull and the main jacket features a concealed zip and button fastening with re-enforced taping, two flap fastening handwarmer pockets, single, tall chest pocket, two flap pockets with a leather trim and microfleece lining for added warmth, a large curved front pocket with three further internal pockets. This pocket can also be opened from the back with a yellow grosgrain pull. The pockets have press stud fastenings with re-enforced taping. The sleeves feature re-enforced elbows that have a Velcro opening and removable pads, a zipped pocket with pen holders and a detachable Parajumpers – ‘That Others May Live’ patch. The quilted lining is fully removable, is filled with down and feathers and has four inside pockets and a drawstring waist. There is a vented rear and zipped side seam vents for added ventilation.
