Whether hiding them, toggle-ing them, or snaking them playfully up an overcoat in his Fall 2009 line, their use is not merely functional but a carefully considered element of a garment’s design. The runway presentation for the Brothers Spring Summer 2010 collection paraded a series of proper, prepped out looks with just enough of mixed-up and unmatched mischief to keep things real and risky. Cape Cod standards like navy yachting jackets striped D-ring belts were brought into more seductive waters with 1970s Milan playboy scarves printed in sleazy paisley and sockless buckled slip-ons in cognac colored leather.

Zoologie – Autumn/Winter 2010 Lookbook

Australian label Zoologie looks to the Native American tribes of North America for inspiration for their Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. Textures, shapes, and patterns were specifically taken from the tribe’s Hopi Kachina dolls and mixed it with the ideals of pioneering, traveling, and the interactions of the native populations. Items such as washed denim, leathers, wools, and cottons are constructed for the range along with other fabrics such as silks, viscose and super soft modal.
