Deluxe x Pendleton Wool Check Shirt

Japanese label Deluxe worked with American wool purveyors to create a plaid button-down for their fall/winter 2009 campaign. The traditional cut shirt features a red, black, and gray check pattern with the Deluxe logo at the bottom left hem. The shirt is just one of the many collaborations Deluxe has worked on for their fall/winter collection.

Deluxe – Fall / Winter 2009

The latest offerings from Japanese label Deluxe’s Fall and Winter collections are a nice mixture of their usual brand of well-made streetwear and a more polished and classic frontier style. Deluxe has been recognized internationally most notably for their streetwear in past years, and items from their latest collection still remain true to that origin with their puffy vests and great-looking varsity jackets. It’s the knitwear (fisherman, fair isle, Norwegian) that provide a stark contrast to the “street culture” identity that is so often associated with the label. Nevertheless, Deluxe recognizes the need to evolve and remain relevant to emerging trends, and they have succeeded in those respects.

Nearly all of their goods are exclusive to Japanese shops, but they fortunately have accounts with some online dealers such as Bridge.
