Chauncey – Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook

Chauncey-Fall-Winter-2010-1

Brussels-based menswear label, Chauncey’s philosophy stems from the traditions and exceptional quality of European craftsmanship. It leans towards the modern by relying upon extreme creativity and precision by using high quality yarns and manufacturers. According to Chancey, the line is meant for the “elegant gentleman traveler” look with a slice of Belgian surrealism. For Fall/Winter 2010, look to the brand to live up to its philosophies with a range consisting of simplistic knits, scarves, tops, and trousers. There’s a quiet ambiance to the range which I’m sure some of the more humble fashionable types will appreciate.

Phillip Sparks – Behind the Scenes Videos for Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

phillip-sparks-videos

Phillip Sparks is fast becoming a SwipeLife favorite, and our favoritism has increased now with these behind the scene looks at the label’s upcoming Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. For the season’s range, Phillip looks to the classic book Moby Dick as inspiration. Themes of maritime life, seafaring men, and naval environments become central to the designs of Autumn and Winter. Sparks follows the darker tones of the story to fully convey his looks and styles. While the first video tells of Sparks’s influence for his collection, video 2 is a quick montage of Sparks at work doing trimmings, ironing, and sewing. Video 3, which is the latest in the series, is behind the scenes look at the Fall lookbook photoshoot, which will bring the range all together. Hopefully more videos will come as we slowly start to see this great collection from start to finish.

Needles – Spring/Summer 2010 Lookbook

needles-ss10-main

Needles channels the 70’s for their Spring/Summer collection. While some might not all be fans of 70’s fashion, Needles however takes some of the best things from the era and gives it that cool Nepenthes touch. Wide bottom cuff pants, flower prints, leisure suits, denim jackets, and more are included in the collection. Like the 70’s, the range is very laid back and at ease. Some of the styles are very vintage, but display a few hints of the modern in the patterns used and various cuts.
