Acne Archive: A Collection of Acne Classics at mono concept
Scandanavian label Acne ventures to Hamburg for a collaboration with the mono concept store that will house some of Acne’s classic items from years past. The mono concept store functions as a retail space for the mono concept label and a gallery space for artists. This Acne exhibition will run August 7 – 17 for the public to check out.
Acne Bend Belts
The Gargyle online store is carrying several Acne accesories including this slim, navy blue, vegetable-tanned leather belt. There are embossed edges and features an antiqued buckle. Acne Spring/Summer 2010
Acne are never late when it comes to setting trends in the fashion world, and their 2010 spring collection is a perfect example. An easygoing lineup featuring several fitted trousers, lightweight leather jackets and sandals, and a casual two-button suit, the majority of the collection consists of neutral colors accented by warm yellow and a cool blue. However, always aiming to provide great variety, the collection also incorporates unlikely colors ranging from a bright coral to a deep burgundy.

Acne – Winter 2009 Collection Video
Scandinavian denim label Acne has a behind-the-scenes video of their show at Stockholm’s Fashion Week for the upcoming Winter seaso. The overall theme looked ultra-modern, deconstructed, youthful and casual (almost unkempt). What the cult-favorite brand styled particularly well were the minimalist looks: a boxy red sweater over single pleated pants and a thick crewneck jumper worn similarly. These effortlessly styled looks were mimicked on the Women’s portion of the show as well.

Acne Jeans Stroll Low Sneaker
Stockholm-based brand Acne, founded in 1996 by influential fashion designer and 2007’s King magazine’s Most Influential Person in Men’s Fashion Jonny Johansson, release their new Stroll Low sneakers to the public. The all-white shoes come with a canvas upper with a rubber sole, and a cool zip closure on the front, which makes a refreshing change from laces or Velcro straps. Acne 2009 Fall/Winter Pop Classics Collection
Scandinavian denim label Acne gives the public a preview of their soon-to-come 2009 autumn/winter collection. Making their debut this year, the garments on offer surprisingly feature little denim, instead focusing on utilising vibrant colours to brighten up the cold months ahead. Featuring a slew of cable-knit sweaters, patterned shirts and scarves, and stylish footwear, the poppy colours incorporated into their apparel give off a youthful look which is sure to win over new fans and pull in looks from anyone with a taste for fashion.

Lanvin Party Campaign
Parisian fashion house Lanvin has partnered once again with Swedish firm Acne – this time for an ad campaign. Acne Paper’s summer issue launch party, held at the Ritz Bar in Paris, turned into a fashion shoot when Lanvin’s Lucas Ossendrijver and Alber Elbaz decided to use the event as the setting for their new fall/winter 2009 ad campaign. The glamorous setting of the Ritz Bar, the burlesque performers in attendance, and the party guests made for interesting background elements as photographer Andreas Larsson captured images of models wearing Lanvin’s latest clothes.

Acne is an acronym for Ambition to Create Novel Expressions. Designer Jonny Johansson and his team don’t play by conventional rules. What Johansson presented for his Fall 2009 collection was a far cry from his expected jeanswear basics. He has been able to expand on his knitwear and outerwear, and he’s incorporated a multitude of accessories in his looks.
