Dutch company Intelligent Design has raised the bar for aesthetics in mouse design. The Titanium ID made its debut at Dutch Design Week 2009 in Eindhoven. Sporting a low profile form factor with a body composed of Grade 1 Titanium and a scroll wheel made of neodymium, the Titanium ID mouse brings cutting edge style to the world of peripherals. The Titanium ID connects via wireless blue tooth, is available in white or black, and compatible with Windows and Mac.

50th Anniversary Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept
There aren’t many automotive designs that have endured as well as the Corvette Stingray. Now, 50 years later, some design challenges and tributes have started to trickle through to commemorate one of the great sports cars of all time. The design here pays homage to the classic shape of the Stingray with the long, sleek hood and bulging fenders. It also appears to take some design cues from the one-off Bertone Mantide as well as the Cadillac Sixteen Concept, which was also an internal GM design. From an overhead view, one spies the trademark teardrop shape towards the tail of the car, culminating with the iconic split-window rear windshield. Other design touches include a clamshell hood, scissor-style doors, ergonomic seats, rear-view camera with night vision enhancement, and a high performance hybrid drive. If Chevy is looking for inspiration for their C7, we think they should start here.

Audemars Piguet Millenary Carbon One Tourbillon Chronograph
An oval, forged carbon case is the defining characteristic of Audemars Piguet’s new Millenary Carbon One Tourbillon Chronograph, a limited edition timepiece released early this month. The matte finish of the lightweight case is complemented by a bezel, crown, and pushers finished in glossy black ceramic. A blackened steel clasp and black crocodile leather strap complete the subtle, dark palette. Red and white accents on the face and dials stand out dramatically against the black backdrop.
The open construction of the face reveals an AP Calibre 2884 hand wound column-wheel chronograph tourbillon movement with twin barrels, which serve to store mechanical energy, ensuring the watch will only need to be wound once. Just 120 examples of the Millenary Carbon One will be produced.

Brothers – Trailer
Brothers is a compelling movie drama that could be worth your movie ticket purchase amongst the other holiday films coming out. The film revolves around the lives of siblings, Sam and Tommy, who become estranged when Sam (Tobey Maguire) is presumed dead while helicopter is shot down in the mountains of Afghanistan. In his absence, younger brother Tommy (Jake Gyllenhaal), just released from prison, starts to care for his wife, Grace (Natalie Portman) and their children. As Tommy and Grace begin to get attracted to eachother, their world is shaken up when they find out that Sam is not dead, but returns uncharacteristically withdrawn and volatile. Brothers, directed by Jim Sheridan, is set to release on December 4.

Parajumpers – Kodiak Navy Jacket
Former Diesel, Woolrich, Valentino and Barbour designer Massimo Rossetti created Parajumpers as an outerwear company that construct jackets and parkas for the most demanding weather conditions. It is dedicated to the profession of “the men of the 210th Rescue Squadron, based in Anchorage, Alaska, are highly trained for extreme rescues and recoveries in the wildest, most remote and hostile corners of the Globe. Whether it be ships adrift at sea, rock climbers stuck atop a 4,000 meter peak, or submariners sunk at unimaginable depths, these men are called to intervene.”
The Kodiak slim fit, navy hooded, quilted parka jacket comes from the Masterpiece Series. The hood features a detachable fur trim, drawstring pulls, central zip so that it can be worn opened out. The collar has a parachute clip fastening with yellow grosgrain pull and the main jacket features a concealed zip and button fastening with re-enforced taping, two flap fastening handwarmer pockets, single, tall chest pocket, two flap pockets with a leather trim and microfleece lining for added warmth, a large curved front pocket with three further internal pockets. This pocket can also be opened from the back with a yellow grosgrain pull. The pockets have press stud fastenings with re-enforced taping. The sleeves feature re-enforced elbows that have a Velcro opening and removable pads, a zipped pocket with pen holders and a detachable Parajumpers – ‘That Others May Live’ patch. The quilted lining is fully removable, is filled with down and feathers and has four inside pockets and a drawstring waist. There is a vented rear and zipped side seam vents for added ventilation. Beukenburg House by Sluijmer & Van Leeuwen Architects
A 185 hectare plot of forest and agricultural land owned by the Utrecht Landscape Foundation is home to the Beukenburg House, designed by Sluijmer & Van Leeuwen Architects. The house is characterized by a utilitarian metal-panel façade that curves up to envelope the home and serve as a roof, creating a structure that remains modern while still referencing an agricultural vernacular. Beneath the metal skin, living spaces are enclosed by glass walls and wood slats that shade the interior and lend residents some privacy.
In keeping with the exterior theme of modern simplicity, the interior employs an open ground level that opens directly into the landscape, taking full advantage of the expansive site and consequent views.
