Slumdog Millionaire Trailer

Danny Boyle’s (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later) newest film Slumdog Millionaire has just released its new trailer. Although the storyline may not appeal to all (it’s set around the game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire India), Boyle’s new flick however, is winning the hearts of those who’ve already been lucky to see it. The story follows Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai who makes it as a contestant on the Millionaire game show.  Only one question away from winning, the show is forced to break for the night. Things go awry when he is arrested and accused of cheating for knowing all the answers. It’s hard to believe a street kid could actually know so much. As a way to prove his innocence, Jamal tells his stories of growing up in the slums. They are stories that include friendship, violence, and true love. Each story he tells is related to how he knows the answers to the questions in the game show. Check out after the jump to see the opening dates for some cities.  Watch the HD trailer now at Yahoo.

7th Season Trailer for 24

Jack Bauer is back again this Fall. Though 24’s last season wasn’t its best, this season looks to be a bit more promising, especially with this preview for the show. Judging from the scenes we’ll get a little bit more for our viewing pleasure, such as Jack Bauer in Washington, more car chases, more gun action, and more of everything of what Jack Bauer usually does (like whispering really loudly). Don’t get it mistaken though, this is not the trailer for the TV movie coming out on November 23rd. It’s for 24’s January season premiere. Check out the trailer now.

USB Port Wine by Peltier Station

Did you know that wineries can’t use the word “port” on wine labels unless they’re really from Portugal? As a name loophole against the European Union’s rules Pletier Station got clever with the packaging and naming of their “USB Port Wine.” The $25 bottle, which is actually a true Zinfandel port, is made with a serious nose of chocolate, balanced with ruby cherry and spice. Sounds good enough for a try, especially as a wine to accompany your desserts.

You can purchase a bottle at Peltier Station

The Unfinished Swan

The Unfinished Swan – Tech Demo 9/2008 from Ian Dallas on Vimeo.

Although still in its early development, a lot of buzz has been surrounding Ian Dallas’s new video game concept called “The Unfinished Swan.” The game is basically set in a black and white world where you have to splatter paint to see where you’re going. The game is very maze like, with challenging obstacles around every corner. Watch out for its release around March of 2009.

The Paramount Bar

The Paramount Bar, located on the top of London’s Center Point tower is one of London’s newest hottest venues. Designed by renowned English interior designer Tom Dixon, The Paramount’s aesthetics can be described as a mixture of 60’s retro with futuristic themes. Usage of concrete and stone turned into smooth, shiny hard-edged fixtures makes the place look like a night-hour spot inside a space-ship. With its clean interior and superior view, it’s now wonder why only the chosen can visit the place. A membership only spot, you must first apply and then be assessed to gain entry. More images after the jump.
