Sennheiser MM 400/450 Bluetooth headphones

For the traveler that’s addicted to their iPhone, the Sennheiser MM 400/450 Bluetooth headphones are intended to be used for music and phone calls. Both the 400 and 450 models have an invisible microphone for talking on the phone and a wired connection option for when wireless is unavailable, like when on a flight or when you want to save battery life. The headsets also fold into their molded travel cases and come with an airline friendly adaptor.

 

Nokia Bootklet 3G

Nokia makes their foray into the laptop market with the new Nokia Booklet 3G. Powered by an Intel Atom processor, the notebook will feature a 10.1 inch display, built in 3G/HSPA and integrated A-GPS and Wi-Fi. The notebook will weigh only 1.25 kilograms and carry an impressive 12 hours of battery life. Nokia plans to announce availability and pricing on September 2.

 

Sony PlayStation 3 Slim

Due out September 1st in North America and Europe, is the slimmer low-profile version of Sony’s Playstation 3. The slim PS3 will come with a 120GB hard drive, Dualschock 3 controller and HDMI port that supports 1080p high definition. Weighing in approximately four pounds less than its forerunner, it will use less power (250W vs. 280W) and feature a matte finish instead of the piano black glossy casing found on the original PS3. Like its predecessor, the slim version will also be blue-ray, DVD and CD compatible and retail for $300US.

 

Samsung CL65 Digicam

The forthcoming Samsung CL65 may look like an ordinary digital camera, but squeezed into the 18.9mm thick frame is also WiFi capability, Bluetooth 2.0 and a GPS. Both WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 is DLNA compliant and can be used to show images on networked media players and HDTVs. WiFi capabilities also let you upload images to sites like Facebook, YouTube and Picasa.

Besides all the added extras, it’s still point and shoot camera that comes with a 12.2 megapixel with a 5x internal optical zoom, 720p HD video recording mode and features a 3.5 touchscreen with “Smart Gesture” input. The Samsung CL65 will hit U.S. retailers in September, priced at $399.99.

 

iHome x Bongiovi Acoustics – Speaker System for iPhone/iPod

The iP1 Studio iPod/iPhone audio system is the latest effort from iHome in the hotly contested and overcrowded iPod accessory market. Although iHome already offers myriad options for the savvy iPod owner, they hope the iP1 will stand out from the crowd. In cooperation with Bongiovi Acoustics, iHome developed a sleek audio system which they claim is unrivaled in sound quality. The system is anchored by a smoked acrylic panel, through which a pair of 4 inch drivers and 1 inch tweeters protrude. In terms of aesthetics, the iP1 sets itself apart from the sea of other audio systems. It uses a 100-Watt amplifier paired with a sophisticated digital signal processing system to elevate the sound quality of an iPod or iPhone. The iP1 is priced at $249 and is available at Amazon.

Samsung Anycall Jet S8000H

Samsung’s answer to LG’s Arena, the Anycall Jet will have the fastest application processor in the feature phone segment. The 800MHz phone will use Samsung’s new 3D multimedia Cube interface for multimedia and support wifi and the 3.6Mbps 3G network. In addition, the Anycall Jet will feature the world’s first 3.1″ 16M WVGA AMOLED display, which allows for viewing under all lighting conditions at an angle of up to 180 degrees and uses less power from the battery than other phones in it’s category.

The Areaware 2B radio brings back the joys of sitting around a non-digital radio with its minimalistic design and retro feel. The new old-school radio features visible vacuum tubes, which imitates the style of a not so distant past but is only a radio, without wifi, 3G or DRM. Available now for $350, it’s a steep price to find some simplicity.

 

LG Chocolate BL40

Korean electronics maker, LG, is set to release their new Chocolate BL40 later this fall. The new generation chocolate phone will feature a split screen design that allows for two screens to display simultaneously, a four inch LCD touchscreen with 21:9 aspect ration so webpages can be viewed without the need for horizontal scrolling and a five megapixel camera with forward facing video calling sensor. Also, thanks to FCC approval, the Chocolate BL40 will have an FM transmitter.

Leica S2 DSLR Camera

Not made for the amateur photographer, Leica, a brand famous for their cameras, will release its S2 DSLR camera in October for the price tag of approximately $23,000 (just for the body). The S2 features a 37.5 megapixel, 30×45mm sensor and a sapphire glass monitor. It’s also significantly smaller than other high end camera’s in its class, which makes for better maneuverability and flexibility without sacrificing the quality of picture.
