As a Non-Scot I’ve always been a little jealous of Scottish Americans with their family tartans. J. Crew must’ve read my mind with this beautiful Anderson tartan bow-tie. It is hand finished in fine English wool with a harbor blue centered color palette. It is now available on the J.Crew site.

Monaco-based yacht manufacturer Wally clearly recognizes the power of quality partnerships–with the recent release of the Hermes/Wally yacht, and now with Swiss watch maker Hublot. With only 500 limited edition pieces made, The Big Bang Wally is a chronograph that takes its design and color cues from Wally’s past. Made from ultra-light alloy and magnesium, the watch was selected in the “Sports watch” category of the Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève awards 2009. Available now.

The men’s retail store, Roden Gray, of Vancouver is proud to carry selected items from Nom de Guerre for the first time. Nom de Guerre features sturdy and durable wools and cottons to showcase the utilitarian styled pieces that has been the long-running design staples of the New York brand.

Roden Gray’s blog shows the items that can be found at their store including some beautiful, heavyweight knitwear such as the shetland crewneck, a cardigan and pullover with shawl collar and a hooded cardigan. Some outerwear (Field Anorak and Protective Down Vest) and accessories (Standard Issue Scarf and GI Knit Hat) round out the rest of the lineup as well.

His latest collections, which he states as “Man at Sea,” reference a rugged, yet elegant approach to modern city fashion. There are several traditional and utilitarian inspirations and fabrics used to redefine some classic garments. The styling featured in our selected images showcase the masculine identity Spencer defined by using crumpled suiting, layering and use of heavy knitwear.
