Perusing their online collections, we have gathered five distinct Winter looks that draw inspiration from the latest trends and incorporate classic styling. Emphasis is placed on the technique of layering textures, colors, and patterns to create a cohesive outfit. You’ll notice that most of the patterns and bolder color patterns can be found on the shirting (with some in the knitwear). Generally, the knitwear and outerwear are solid colored or have a maximum of two colors. Sometimes the detailing on footwear and hardware/fasteners on outerwear will have the bold accent coloring. Shawl collars are prevalent in almost every menswear collection, and you’ll find some selections highlighted below. The footwear builds a strong base for the outfit, and we have gravitated towards solid, brown Timberlands to build off of. Former accounting student Danilo Ceri, always knew that accounting was not going to be his calling in life. Growing up, Danilo had an affinity for classic military uniforms. He would venture off with his father, who owned his own antique shop, to scour the antique markets for vintage military garments. Like his father, Danilo also found beauty in antiques, as well as history, and archeology.

With streetwear that looks as wearable as it is stylish, Publish has put together a Holiday 2011 collection that may not be incredibly festive, but is most certainly a gift to the eyes. Although the physically punishing nature of boxing and the physically graceful nature of modeling don’t usually mix, English boxer slash model Dudley O’Shaughnessy seems to have the extremely high level of intensity of maintain excellence in both fields. After following his father and brother into the ring at age nine, O’Shaughnessy quickly rose through the ranks to become the senior Amateur Boxing Association welterweight champion last year. But O’Shaughnessy doesn’t only put on the gloves, actively modeling and starring in short films, including Rhianna’s newest track “We Found Love.” In this short film from photographer Sharif Hamza, O’Shaughnessy ruthlessly pummels the bag in his trademark sleek style while the powerful and abrasive sounds of his fury provide a beatdown for the ears. It wouldn’t be a good idea to get in Dudley O’Shaughnessy’s way, either on the runway or in the ring.

Japanese giants Uniqlo have just released the lookbook for their early spring 2012 collection keeping in step with simplistic yet impressive styling. Consisting of quality takes on classic wardrobe items such as cardigans, chinos and jeans, the lookbook keeps things streamlined but not stale, flaunting bright colors and delightfully patterned shirts that can play well in any closet. Uniqlo’s slogan “Made for All” is definitely the truth: these pieces can be worn by anyone for any occasion.

Supported by some excellent outerwear, Parisian brand A.P.C. have just introduced the lookbook for the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, providing some unique outer layers for the impending torrential rains of the spring months. Ranging from camo to camel with both hoods and high collars, the coats in the collection really stand out, covering everything from striped sweaters to denim shirts that deserve to be recognized in their own right. Paired with some standard dark denim and tan lace up boots, the A.P.C. Spring/Summer 2012 collection is the perfect remedy to a rainy day in the city.

H&M rolls out their video lookbook for the upcoming Spring 2012 season. The lookbook emphasizes a lot of the upcoming men’s fashion trends such as naval inspired light jackets, summer shorts, lightweight knits, and colorful trousers. Look to your local H&M shops as they start releasing these affordable and trend driven pieces.
