Independent Watches
From Citizen’s budding Japanese subsidiary, Independent, comes three muscular new watches just in time for summer. Made of PVD-treated steel, the Zozotown ITA21-5156, Shutter ITX21-5131, and American Work Style Season Concept ITA21-5141 continue Citizen’s relatively newfound interest with bold, daring design. The Zozotown, made in collaboration with the online shopping network of the same name, has been released with a limited run of 200, while the Shutter features hidden digital displays. Olympus EP-1
The E-P1 is the worlds smallest 12.3 megapixel camera. It features an old school body similar to the original version from 1959. This camera is an all media device since it sports an audio recorder (WAV files), HD video recorder all in one pocket sized body. The lens mount diameter has been reduced to let you use interchangeable lens & Live & advanced control functions are viewable on its 3 inch LCD screen.
The E-P1 can switch scene modes when it notices your shooting intent & features six built in Art-Filters (for both pictures & video). The multi mode Image Stabilization compensates for up to four shutter speeds. Images are scanned both vertically and horizontally for clear & sharp movies/pictures. Olympus includes their patented Supersonic Wave Filter to remove dust particles from the image sensor via vibration, all particles are stored on an adhesive membrane. What can’t this thing do?

Citizen Eco-Drive Concept Watches
Citizen recently announced three new models of their new concept watches that are driven by their Eco-Drive technology. Citizen feels that this is the future of Citizen watches and that their policy of “The Fusion of Technology and Beauty,” will see the release of these watches in the few years to come. The three models are Eco-Drive Ring: An innovative concept model, where the design has become characteristic with the light-receiving solar cell situated around the circumference of the case; The Eco-Drive Dome: A model with the Cal.H610 new movement debuting this year features the dome-shaped dial and unique case structure.The distinctive appearance is made possible by maximizing the characteristics of the transparent materials; and the Eco-Drive Vitro: An invisibly minute solar cell is spread throughout the glass.This epochal technology broadens the diversity of the dial design.The novel model also features a skeleton-type dial integrated with the case. The Husqvarna Panthera Leo Concept Lawn Mower
The Husqvarna Panthera Leo is a conceptual lawn mower developed with the eco-conscious home owner in mind. In an effort to reduce the pollution associated with maintaining a lush green lawn, this mower is powered only by electric motors and is constructed from recycled materials. With a claimed two hours of riding time per charge, most home owners should be able to cut an entire lawn. If not, the mower charges overnight using a standard outlet. The boundaries of lawn mower technology are further pushed with sensors that tell the operator whether a hill is too steep or if an obstacle is approaching. While likely redundant, these features merely supplement the impressive ecological accolades of the Husqvarna Panthera Leo.
