Opening Ceremony – Spring/Summer 2010 Footwear Preview

opening-ceremony-spring-201

The footwear offered by Opening Ceremony continually fuses the trends of today with tricked-out details that become must-haves for tomorrow. Their Spring/Summer 2010 collection steps out with lean, low oxfords rendered in pine and navy suede planted on thin white soles after which things get especially edgy: chunked-up Tricker’s style saddle brogues with jagged-toothed Goth-kid soles, and boldly bizarre lace-up/zip-up oxfords signaling the 90s desperate attempt for resurrected fashion relevance.

Camel Shades Editorial – Mens Vogue China

Camel-Shades-Mens-Vogue-China-1

Closed – Spring 2010 Collection

Closed-Spring-2010-1

Some may scoff but Closed casts coveralls as the star of its Spring 2010 collection and makes a strong, sophisticated case for the choice buy cutting them in khaki and denim, then dressing them up in soft, summery suitcoats. Sherbet-flavored cardigans, button-ups in gingham and chambray, and Closed’s core speciality, denim, complete the line-up and are all given a breezy, soaked-in-the sea patina.

Plaid Tweed Pullover at Le Train Bleu

Flecked in blue, printed in plaid, buttoned up high at the neck, this tweedy knit pullover is an ideal introduction to online shop Le Train Bleu. Seminead x Wilson Wool Jackets

Seminead-Wilson-Wool-Jacket-1

Learn from my mistake. Do not get yourself worked up about this wonderfully retro wool jacket from Wilson, as I did. It’s trapped on yet another Japanese based webshop, Now & Then, oceans and oceans away from the wants of us westerners. Available in Navy or Burgundy in an appropriately Asian small 36 size, the best we can do is sorrowfully seek similar jackets to vaguely remind us of the original Wilson winner. Available at NowThen.
