Rotaliana’s Diva Desk Lamp/iPod Dock
Dante Donegani & Giovanni Lauda have designed Diva, a multi-functional tool of art for Rotaliana. Diva can be used to dock either an iPod or iPhone to play sound when its used in the open position. To use an iPod/iPhone a press of a button opens the die cast aluminum lamp arm. When its closed, you can use its FM radio capabilities & speakers for your CD player or computer via an AUX & audio out sockets in the back or plug & play with a USB slot. Diva is also fitted with an LED light making it a sleek looking lamp. The digital screen displays all FM & MPS information when in use & corresponds with an included infrared remote control.
The Man of Steel Editorial
Based on comic book icon Superman & his human alter ego Clark Kent, this pictorial is stylized in an old school fashion. The clothing however, is modern & the colors play into the theme of the famous comic character. Staying true to the fashion found in these comic strips, the suits & outfits are form fitted for comfort. High end watch makers Hublot has teamed up with Swiss cycling company BMC to offer a limited edition racing bike. The run will only consist of 30 of bicycles. Everything about this black on black beauty is a work of art & all parts are light weight high performance materials.The frame is constructed of carbon fiber to ensure ruggedness & the pedals contain ceramics to reduce friction. The carbon fiber helps make the bike look fast & elusive as well as sleek like the build on Hublot watches.
The flat brushed look of the wheels, stainless gears & curvature of the metal frame take this piece to another level altogether. Both brands take special care to place their logos on the bike in a non obtrusive manner. Everything comes together perfectly to create a very simple & clean look. The first of these 30 racing bikes will be race tested at the World Stars Cycling Criterium in Monaco.

Fjällräven Vintage Backpack
Unsatisfied with the norm, Ake Nordin created his first backpack from a wooden frame. His design improved weight distribution across the back & allowed him to carry more in the bag. This led him to start Fjällräven in 1960 and the company still applies the same design principles now. Nordin was impressed by the lifestyle of the endangered Arctic fox & Fjällräven uses it as the company symbol on all gear.
The bag loads from the top & is of retro design. It features real leather straps for the main compartment & side pockets. Extra straps have been included for spare equipment & waist support. This vintage Fjällräven backpack is available at Assembly New York.
[re]Drive Bamboo Hard Drives
The [re]Drive by SimpleTech (Hitachi) is made of 100% recycled aluminum & steam pressed bamboo. This drive doesn’t come with a noisy or power consuming fan, the aluminum acts as a heat sink that cools the drive.The drives user guide is printed inside the box & stored digitally on the drive. This has all been done in the effort to stay eco-friendly. The drives end caps are made of recycled newspaper, & it automatically powers on & off with your computer to save energy.
Th design plays a huge part both on the operation of the external drive & the manufacturers ideals, but its also stylish & sleek.

Design label Mjolk presents this 100% pure Australian cotton bomber jacket, which is in stark contrast from the leather & fur detailed aviator version that most think a bomber to be. Cameron Diaz for V Magazine
Cameron Diaz pays homage to The Queen of Pop (Madonna) in the Beauty issue of V magazine. The photo shoot was inspired by the pop icon’s 1990 Blonde Ambition tour. Photogs Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott captured Ms. Diaz’s impersonation of Madonna in London.
On the cover she wears the signature cone bra, thigh high black leather Prada boots, short shorts with painted on tattoos that Madonna stirred up controversy in for her tours mix of sex and religion. Cameron Diaz is a great addition to our Women We Love category.

High-end Limo executive car company LimousinesWorld has been in the business for over thirty years and now introduces the RHD Mercedes limo. This new Mercedes is available in both S-Class & E-Class models with an abundance of features. It comes equipped with a champagne chateau for the hardwood bar with ice chests, and also has a hands free intercom.
For entertainment purposes passengers will enjoy AM/FM stereo, a CD/DVD system, and either dual 7 or 13 inch flat screen televisions. For business, the limo provides Wi-Fi capabilities for internet & 12V electric ports (nifty for gadgets).
Other amenities include illuminated vanity mirrors, facing seats, armrests with cup holders, vanity console, and storage area lighting. This beauty can seat up to 10 people (dependent on the size). If this thing had a bed, you’d only have to leave to use the bathroom.

This set of pieces presented by Japanese label Whereabouts is a great mix of both style and substance. The collections name (The Smart Collection) even suggests so. The garments in this collection can be mixed and matched to make up a variety of combinations. One of the nicest concepts about this ensemble is that it fits the respective seasons without being weighty or bulky. They’ve managed to cover all angles like vests, pea coats, suits, hats, leather, jeans & sunglasses all into a very fun and approachable bunch.
