ladfront

Life/After/Denim is a men’s apparel label out of Los Angeles, CA that actually could help us who live in colder climates out this Fall and Winter with the outerwear options they offer in their new lookbook. Plaid peacoats, leather jackets, military jackets and a wide assortment of blazers and sweaters are available. For the under-layer some button ups come in a handful of interesting patterns, as well as some nice zip-up hoodies for underneath the leather or the blazer. To keep the legs warm some some trousers in plaids and in solid colors put it all together. The styling isn’t anything we haven’t seen before but Life/After/Denim has more than a few items worth grabbing this year for some basics to beat the chill.

Ralph Lauren 2010 Spring /Summer Preview of Purple Label, Black Label, and Polo

ralph-lauren-previews-spring-summer-2010-main

Ralph Lauren published the looks for their three subsidiary brands Black Label, Purple Label, and Polo by Ralph Lauren for the Spring/Summer of 2010 earlier this week continuing to develop the classic look that has won them devotees the world over and made them a household name. Across all three sub-brands the looks project confidence and a sense of bonne vivant balanced with fun and practicality. Black Label’s tailored wear hones in on understated, worldly flavor and flow while Black Label’s sportswear hints at futurism, moving forward with hi tech materials and shine but with an underlying sensibility that doesn’t outlive it’s usefulness. Purple Label maintains the lavish side of things, with first class tailoring and blues and blacks to be thrown in the mix with multi-colored sweaters and geometric patterns. The Polo sportswear continues the low key, vintage feel that has earned it fans for generations. The tailored clothing is all about light fabrics, plaids and pastels. Something for everyone, from the Hemingway’s and Gatsby’s to the Kanye West’s.

Menswear label Stone Island rolls out their Fall and Winter 2009 Collection with rugged outerwear and all weather jackets the order of the day. Stand out pieces include a moleskin coated cotton trench coat that is also thermodynamic, changing color with the temperature from a yellow in warm climates to a deep olive in the winter cold, and a handsome blue shetland wool cardigan reminiscent in style of a sailor’s cold weather gear. To compliment the jackets they’ve included ink blue wool jogging pants and black trousers made of cotton satin. Good looks from Broadway and Spring to the Nepalese mountain paths.
