Manuel Aires Mateus comes up with an interestingly designed holiday home in Portugal made out of board formed concrete. The home offers the perfect views with the property set on a huge park. The designer draws inspiration from the vernacular architecture of alentejo but reinterpreted to suit the minimal style of Mateus. Of all the four structures, three have double bedrooms with bathrooms and the last volume has primary living spaces along with a kitchen, and a double bedroom that has an adjoining bathroom.
The interiors of the house are done in white with modern and old school furniture pieces for accentuating display. Everything is airconditioned and can also be heated up satisfyingly in winter. It can accommodate up to 8 guests and available for rent with a price of $5,120 per week.
Aires Mateus was founded by the Mateus brothers, Francisco and Manuel, who believe that every architectural design project must express the passion of an idea with the use of the elements of space and limits. Check out the rest of their other projects via http://www.airesmateus.com/.
