Folkform comes up with a unique design of revolving bookcases to perfectly present desirably any book collection. The Swedish design duo Chandra Ahlsell and Anna Holmquist believe that there is still a longing for physical books despite the rise of the digital era that include the e-books and e-readers. The design allows the books to be displayed on the pieces instead of the wall to wall shelf system.
Their three piece collection was inspired from antique bookcases that can be easily turned. It is made out of blackened wood with each having horizontal shelves all placed at varying heights and some vertical strips added straight to the exterior.
The cases in rectangular shape all rest on cylindrical shaped bases that rotate so that all the books can be seen from any angle. It comprises of two bookcases that stand in different heights while there is also a tinier one considered archiver that can be placed on a desk or any table.
