Helena Costa is the first ever female coach to ever get involved in the entire history of France’s sport of professional soccer for men. The 36-year-old is the replacement head coach of Regis Brouard at Clermont. Costa also coached Qatar and Iran’s women’s national teams. She also managed Benfica youth teams.
Eurosport adds that she is also the first woman ever hired to head coach a team in the top two divisions for the top five leagues of Europe. Truly, in the coaching level of football clubs, Costa surely has made a mark and all the excitement of various fans were expressed highly via Twitter.
