Audi is back to beat BMW’s i8 by creating the world’s first ever car that has “laser high beams” for the headlights. Called the R8 LMX, it features laser high beams which can be automatically activated so as to promote improved safety and visibility on the road. The sports car also boasts of outstanding Ara Blue exterior color with carbon fiber accessories.
It has 19” alloys, nappa leather lines for its interior, carbon fiber trims with the Alcantara headliner. It is powered with a 5.2 liter V10 engine along with an S tronic seven speed transmission. Other features include the 398 lb-ft of torque to help it speed up from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Its topmost speed is at 199mph.
It will only be produced at 99 units and set to debut in summer. If you are interested to order, then it starts at around $298,000.
