Artist Ai Weiwei presents his biggest solo exhibition to date at Berlin’s Martin-Gropius-Bau. Weiwei installed around 6,000 wooden stools across the famous hall and the entire exhibition, entitled “Evidence” will open tomorrow.
“Evidence” is comprised of new installations and works designed for the hall either exclusively or not. It also includes those artworks which have not been shown in Germany. The exhibit captures 3,000 square meters all over 18 rooms. Weiwei emphasized that the stools serve as good expression of what genuine rural China is about. It will be open to the public from April 3 to July 7.
