I like when designers really enforce certain design elements throughout their shows. It makes for a very clear theme. Topman‘s showing at LCM really hammered home the style of slouchy-yet-comfortable. Many looks donned generous fitting overcoats, chunky sweaters, and wide-legged trousers. The fit theme stayed pretty consistent throughout the show, but the use of materials did transition from a wool to leather story. Wool made its way onto several of the military-style pants, double-breasted overcoats, and thick, cable knits, but the middle looks started incorporating leather accents. And the show was anchored by more leather-dominated styling.
