Nothing shows respect like an inventive re-imagining of a classic motorcycle. Thrive Motorcycle showed the ultimate respect with their unconventional, wood burning stove inspired, version of the classic Yamaha XS650.
Thrive is a new custom bike shop in Jakarta, Indonesia, and they’ve announced their arrival with their version of the Yamaha XS650. The original version was created in 1968 and was produced through 1979. A special edition came to the fore in 1978 and stayed until 1985. With quite the imagination, Thrive’s inspiration for their remake was wood burning stoves, complete with shades of black, brown, and brass and copper accents. In addition, this version comes with an overhauled engine, custom hand-fabricated bodywork, and even has all the tools you’d need to maintain the bike in a custom canvas tool bag. The price is yet to be announced, but based on what we’ve seen, it will be well worth whatever you pay for it.
