Designer, Joanna Sykes really embraced the notion of luxury and comfort in her Fall/Winter 2014 showing for Nicole Farhi. The use of luxurious wools was reminiscent of the many high-end Italian lines such as Loro Piana. In fact, Sykes collaborated with prominent English textile mill, Fox Brothers and Co. Flannels. This would explain the polished and high-end appearance. But Sykes has designed the fits to evoke a very relaxed manner as to not look so precious.
So one thing is evident to me from most of the showings at London Collections: Men this week – it’s that grey and cobalt blue conquered the runways. We’ve seen cobalt blue be a popular contrast color for many shows, but the standout color for the Farhi collection is the camel to me.
