Chevrolet’s 2014 Camaro Z/28 is marketed with the tagline, “A Legend Returns.” But one of the biggest questions about the newest Z/28 is how much it will cost, and Chevy has put a bold price onto their newest performance machine.
An announced price of $75,000 is considered very steep, especially when you consider that you can get a lower level Camaro from $23,555. But Chevy justifies the price by talking about the high level of performance you get with the 2014 Z/28. The 7.0-liter LS7 V8 has 505 horses and generates 481 pound-feet of torque. The standard package of the 2014 Z/28 carries basically everything for the $75,000 price tag including a limited-slip differential, spool-valve dampers with four-way control, and an aerodynamics package. All this performance has helped the Z/28 outperform the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and Porsche 911 Carrera S by being quicker around Germany’s Nurburgring. The only things missing are a six-speaker stereo and air conditioning. So if you want a high performing street racer, and don’t mind paying for it, take a look at the 2014 Camaro Z/28.
