It’s become more frequent these days when I overhear a conversation about Hip-Hop and it quickly turns to people asking who they think are the best rappers right now. I honestly don’t care who is on your list. Is Jay Z in your top five? Is Rick Ross in your top 10? 15? 20? It doesn’t matter. Just enjoy the moment, especially when heavy hitting rappers like these join forces. Jay Z and Ross are at it again in this soulful type track. Not really sure what they mean by saying “The Devil Is A Lie,” but it’s probably some kind of cryptic New World Order message since the word “Illuminati” comes up on the track too. Also, Jay Z says a few things about Barneys, but doesn’t really address in full anything about the racial profiling controversy. “You seen what I did to the stop and frisk/ Brooklyn on the Barney’s like we own the bitch/ Give the money to the hood, now we all win/ Got that Barney’s floor lookin like a VIM.” Just take a listen and let us know what you think about the track. Who’s you top 5 rappers? Don’t answer that. We don’t care.
