National Geographic is renowned for its publication’s vivid imagery. Whether landscape or portrait, its pictures are rich and layered with stories. When National Geographic holds its annual photography contest, those are the strongest components they try to find amongst the loads of submissions. The Boston.com’s Big Picture recapped the entries from Grand Prize Winner, Paul Souders and many of the runner’s up in this year’s contest. Paul Soders earned top-honors in an extremely talented pool comprised of 7,000 entries from over 150 countries.
