People have always known the haiku to be a traditional form of Japanese poetry, but design studio GamFratesi decided that they would name their latest sofa after it. The ”Haiku” is a sofa whose name was intended as a sensory image to suggest an emotion. It is characterized by a rigid exterior and an even softer and intimate interior. This of course suggests a protective function and encourages curiosity. Meanwhile the legs resembling pencil marks are intended to enhance the shape of the upholstery. The Haiku sofa is available as a series of two and three seat sofas.
