CO-AP Architects have completely remodeled an apartment known as the Point Piper apartment in Sydney, Australia. Drastic additions and alterations have been made, including a European Oak joinery wall serving as a division between sleeping and living areas. A custom made white Corian table was put in place and is used as the kitchen island and breakfast bench. The existing three bedroom apartment was converted into an open plan so that it may be a flexible one bedroom apartment with a guest/AV room. Some of the materials used in this renovation included white limestone slabs, pale colored glass, and almond hued linoleum. The opening up of the apartment has also allowed for cross ventilation and maximum solar penetration and really allows for comfortable living.
