Marni displayed a new love for geometric structures and reduction for their Spring/Summer collection of 2013. Lines and precision cuts of each piece are carefully accentuated as well as dot motifs and linework. Textiles are also decidedly chosen to be cotton poplin, bonded crispy cotton, double jersey and technical poplin. Dutch artist Rop van Mierlo collaborated with Marni for a special “Wild Animals” project, in order to extend the brand’s range for the forthcoming season. The designs portray an aesthetic of blotchy-shaped animals such as a donkey, a parrot, an ostrich, and a tiger. Each creation is exclusively made for Marni and is printed onto a series of T-shirts. The collection conveys the brand’s love for geometric shapes, animals, and fashion. Now, it’s time for us to show our love for Marni.
