You may have heard of the Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder from the 1986 classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, but this mighty vehicle has been a true collector’s item since the 1950’s. It’s no doubt that these vehicles go for a lot of money. A 1961 model even set the record back in 2008 at an auction as it was sold for a whopping 10.9 million dollars. While they may seem hard to come by, what with its ridiculously high price and famously long history, it is in fact being sold on August 17-18 at the RM auction in Monterey, California. This vehicle truly brings out the best of Ferrari, as its stunning bodywork and superior performance never fail to amaze. The Ferrari Spyder features a legendary 3 liter V12 engine and is one of many great vehicles to be auctioned off at RM’s Montery auction.
