With the heat of the 2012 Olympics well underway, legendary New York City-based artist Haze has partnered with Nike and put together some of the most incredible artwork featuring highly adorned renovations of standard Olympic images. The project involved taking a number of historical symbols from sports such as basketball, track, and field and introducing color and unique art forms to add to the original design. The result ended up being 8×16 paintings that break down into various configurations both with and without the letters USA as well as large hand painted canvases of the American flag. Some other fascinating creations they came up with included making designs that depict the so called intersection of dream teams from the 1992 and 2012 Olympics that reflect the patriotism and passion of both squads as well as a series of wall paintings that combine images to endorse the Olympic sports and Team USA. The images and artwork were all released recently alongside the start of the Olympics.
