Contemporary artists would definitely agree that when you mix artistic excellence with the perfect automobile, the result is explosive. The BMW art car collection in London presents over six floors of vehicles that have been transformed to showcase high quality artistic talent in the form of Germany’s number one choice of transportation. Though this is the first showing of these vehicles in the UK, the initiative for such genuine talent began over 35 years ago when French racing driver and auctioneer Herve Poulain and his friend Alexander Calder designed a car that would compete in the le mans 24-hour race in 1975 and thus give rise to the BMW art car.
