Jack White has worked with Hype Williams for the first time in order to produce a music video for his song “Freedom at 21,” from his debut solo album, Blunderbuss. The video is a blast from the past since Williams has White singing and rapping in front of a wall as if it is a Nineties rap video. Every scene is also shot in a black-and-blue tint and begins with White speeding to escape from Johnny Law and then getting locked up in the greatest jail cell ever. He was surrounded by attractive inmates whom he eventually helped escape. A high-speed chase ensues, and the video ends with a cliffhanger. The video only portrays a dream that can never come true but hey, it might.
