Purity Ring’s debut LP, Shrines, is set to release on July 24th. As the day is coming near, the music video for their latest track “Fineshrine” was released. Directed by Young Replicant, the music video features surreal slow-motion shots that embrace the idea of romanticism. You can tell the characters are in love, but the way they express it is pretty creepy. The band is normally known to be evocative and out of this world, but that’s why they’ve become so popular. It’s stunning to watch Megan James’ nightmarish lyrics become reality in this video. The lyrics are just as crazy as the visuals, but there’s always a reason why it is and that’s what we’ve all been anticipating.
