Efficiency optimization and energy reduction were two key things that were taken into consideration when designing the Cartier ID Two Concept watch. The watch was engineered so perfectly so that it consumes 50% less energy and stores 30 % more energy than most watches. For the first time in watchmaking production, the internal springs were made in glass microfiber, as opposed to metal. It was also created using one micron of tolerance, of 1/1000th of a millimeter, providing a highly accurate measure of time. Cartier ID’s latest creation is truly a piece of beauty and remarkable performance engineering.
