It should be no surprise that a sound as lonely and haunting and beautiful as “Flittin’” would come from a band named after Albert Camus’ The Stranger, a book equally as lonely. But Meursault and their newest track, which comes from their third album Something for the Weakened, are a little bit more than just alone – “Flittin’” takes on a cadence that is uplifting through vocals that display more emotion than that mixtape you gave your high school girlfriend, creating an anthem that is as much for singing along as it is for listening alone.
Something for the Weakened drops July 16 on Song, By Toad Records.
