A home should be none other than a place to relax, and with the clean and calm designs of Yo Shimida from Tato Architects, the House of Futakoshinchi in Kanagawa, Japan is ripe for long periods of chilling out. The two bedroom, three story space makes wonderful use of natural light and white walls, allowing the design to work it’s magic, fostering softly lit spaces without claustrophobic clutter. Wooden floors throughout only add another level of naturally powerful aesthetics, making the House of Futakoshinchi a perfect example of design that works with the land provided, not against it.
