The setting for the most recent video from English group Spiritualized (a Soviet-era “Iron City” on the Polish-Germany border) might be a little dreary, but when filled with gratuitous bike stunts from one of the UK’s up and coming stunt riders Chesca Miles, the clip for “Little Girl” is a must watch. A runaway story set to the tune of Spiritualized’s easy going pop cadence, fast tracking bike shots and parties in motor garages blend to form a narrative driven by the purr of the engine in between two thighs. Ultimately gritty with a glimmer of hope, “Little Girl” is more than just wheelies on a highway, but those outrageous exhibits of daring don’t hurt.
