In the great area of Toronto’s Summerhill neighborhood sits a 4000 square foot, four story home that will literally take your breath away. The so called Urban Ravine House by design architect Bortolotto is fully equipped to connect itself with the outside world. All four levels were designed to account for the natural beauty of the ravine facing the south as well as the views of the city’s towers. Come wintertime, breathtaking views of the city may be seen. During the summer, a beautiful forested yard takes over as such can be seen just outside the windows covering all four stories. In addition, through the center of the house exists a vertical glass opening and a wood central staircase through all levels for natural light to shine through, from the roof all the way down to the ground. This very house is defined by nature itself.
