Richard James’ “Urban Fete”-themed collection presented a colorful palette and bedazzled accessories in order to create a festive vibe. The line would have appeared a little too formal if it weren’t for the summer fabrics such as linen, cotton, and “cool wool”, and the lighthearted styling. Every outfit had a special component that made traditional into original. Flamboyant prints were thrown onto airy button-fronts and swim trunks, while traditional tailored suits were paired with pastel ties and glittering loafers. The colors of the collection – electric orange and turquoise, pastel candy colors, leafy green, and cobalt – brightened the runway and our faces.
