The Paramos House is such a beautiful and spacious home to live in and is designed in a fun and elegant manner. The house, designed by architect Atelier Nuno Lacerda Lopes in Espinho, Portugal, consists of three floors that all share illusions of gaps in the rooms that are in fact stairways serving as elevations to the subsequent floors. Each floor is designated a unique style, with the basement level having all the technical and support areas, the ground floor containing all of the social space, and the first floor including conveniently situated private areas. Of course, the house being contemporary and all, the social spaces of the ground floor have an extension to the outside, as there are glass windows leading to the exterior. There are balconies on the top floor as well that allow for a fascinating glimpse of the surrounding world. Spatial unity is a key element that the architect had in mind when planning the layout of this house, as there are distinct illusions as well as variations between opaque and glass surfaces arranged throughout the house.
