Designer Barbara Hill has used her astonishing ability to design and recreate homes to give her new home in Atlanta, Georgia a new look and feel. In efforts to combine art-world cachet with Texas modernism, Hill managed to renovate a typical Atlanta home by whitewashing the existing red oak floors, removing all of the curtains, and replacing the lighting with custom-colored industrial pendant lights. Although she made vast changes to the home, she kept the arched doorways, airy casement windows, and the wooden doors. It really goes to show how much value a designer like Hill places on the style and design of a home after seeing all of the changes and improvements she has made to a traditional home in Atlanta.
