Baltimore duo, Beach House is often categorized in the dream pop category, and considering the video for “Lazuli,” a cut from their most recent album Bloom, it would be hard not to use the word dream when describing this ethereal group. Directed by Allen Cordell, the same man behind the video for Beach House’s “Walk in the Park” from 2010′s Teen Dream, this clip splices together both fantasy and reality with both a mysterious plate of fried chicken and exploding eggs fitting together with thunder clouds on a dive bar dance floor. Any Beach House video wouldn’t be complete without the band’s ubiquitous use of triangles (even in their live shows), but we find it hard to believe you’ll even notice after the trance you’ll fall into during this mind-bending video and song.
Beach House’s most recent release, Bloom, is out now on Sub Pop Records.
