Kanye, Kanye, Kanye – first you debut a film projected on 7 screens starring Kid Cudi at Cannes. Then you spend quite a bit of time keeping up with one particular Kardashian. What could possibly be next, cloning yourself while wearing a leather jacket/ski mask combo is a music video? Oh, that’s exactly what you did in the new video for “Mercy,” featuring fellow G.O.O.D. Music MC’s Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz? You know what? We’re cool with that – because this black and white clip directed by Nabil Elderkin (who also has videos for Frank Ocean and Bon Iver under his belt) is just Kanye enough for us to love it, even with the fixed camera pans akin to a Wes Anderson film. Is there a Kanye/Wes Anderson collaboration imminent? We wouldn’t even really be surprised.
