Most Mercedes Benz 300SL’s with gullwing doors sit immobile like the beautiful works of art they are, leaving you to admire the graceful lines of the vehicle while only yearning for the sound of the engine. But there is one, left free to scour the pavement of the open road in a way no other car can, that was captured in the gorgeous short film “Poetry in Motion,” from Josh Clason of Depth of Speed. The sights and sounds of this vintage automobile make for excellent subject matter for Clason, who is spending the year travelling across the country in search of unique stories about cars and the people who love them.
