Never has a book that we all read in grade school caused so much controversy – that is, until infamous director Baz Luhrmann (Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge) got his hands on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1920′s classic, “The Great Gatsby.” Starring Tobey Maguire as narrarator, Nick Carraway and Leonardo DiCaprio as the films namesake, Luhrmann’s interpretation of the Roaring 20′s novel features extremely extravagant, glitter filled parties and DiCaprio looking ridiculously wealthy in white suits. Whether you think the film do the book justice or not, it’s definitely going to be an experience (in 3-D, no less) that shouldn’t be missed.
“The Great Gatsby” is set be released this Christmas.
